Congratulations must also be offered to Paul Sessford. In an ernest sporting conversation he explained how he uses the cycle as a warm up, the run as a warm down and the true event for him is the transition. As he has trounced Mr Taylor in this discipline, you can see the success of such dedication and attention to detail!
I think Mr Sessford senior used his ‘transition event’ theory to deflect away from his bike time after realising that for the first time, he’d been beaten by me!
;o)
Chris- did i mention on by bike ‘warm up’ there was a serious climate change in the few minutes difference of start times and i had a strong headwind!!!
Dave Hamer says:
Congratulations to Stevie B for a great win in the transition!

Mr Sessford is a fine athlete indeed, but as Steve took 4 seconds and Paul took 11 seconds…?

You need to check your maths Paul.
13:46 + 00:21 + 20:40 = 34:47
Nothing wrong with the timekeeping

Firstly as Andy Kitts was involved in the timekeeping I would disagree there is nothing wrong with the timekeepers.
Secondly would you not want to live in a parallel world, one in which some KCAC members do not frequent it?
Thirdly – I blame the fact that in Birmingham where I totted this up , life is so slow there are a 100sec per minute.
