Well done Ian – this is incredible. If people, don’t know Kinabalu, this is no ordinary race going from about 6000ft to 13,000 ft. The terrain near the top is just crazy (you need to hold onto ropes for safety) and if it rains (which it does most days) then it is like being on sheet ice near top. And of course, the fast rise to such altitude is very difficult. I have done it as a walk over several days and my legs were absolutely shattered for days.
This really is one of the performances of the year at the club and probably the craziest.
Ran this event with you. Beat you to the top but you got me on the way down. It was a great window. In,run, out. And so cheap,so well organised, so tough. Best wishes.18th finisher

Congratulations! What a result and what an achievement! (14th out of 81 vets starters with 30 not finishing, if my maths are correct). Say no more.
