Well done to all those that ran. We only had 1 team in this event last year and look at us now with 3 teams completing another cracking team event. Great to see so many hooped vests out there racing. Excellent!
Apologies to the Open Team for running a terrible Leg 5 yesterday. I had what I can only describe as a Stellar Bonk at the top of the climb and lost the plot. I know these things happen from time-to-time but I’m very disappointed it had to happen in a relay as it cost us at least 3 places. Clearly I should have been better prepared.
Lukas, try not to worry too much about it. I very much doubt that any of your team mates woud feel let down. The main thing is that you stepped in at short notice and put one in for the team.
Don’t worry about it, I’ve had some real stinkers (L2 last year!), but for some reason they still ring me up for another go. Thanks for completing the team and allowing us to finish.

Lucas don’t worry or apolagise over it, it happens to us all.. as russ has already said you stepped in at short notice and if you hadn’t have stepped in, we as a team wouldn’t have been able to complete so thank you…
We could have had a higher placing if it wasn’t for you. At least I only bonk on solo races like the Hebden making me cut short – but you oh no you have to win the half version cos you are running on your own, but when it comes running in team its fine to bonk, in my day we used to etc…….continues in this vein for some time.
Daz – that’s unfair, you know in real and life what a decent chap I am always ready to help others. For example I ran with Charlie on leg 2 – I believe this is more widely known as care in the community, c’mon lighten up.

Can’t wait for next relay event. The running was great fun, but the comments (see above) are even funnier.
