On Sat 06-02-10 4 Keighley & Craven members took part

in the Yorkshire Vets Cross Country Championships at Graves Park Sheffield.

This is a very competitive event.

Zip was our first counter and picked up an individual silver medal.
Nigel Bedel was our second counter finishing 4th in his age group.
Loz was third counter and Lenny finished a magnificent fourth to make up the team of four to count.

The team didn’t know if they had won a medal until the presentation and had to wait a while but it was worth the wait as they won the GOLD medal.

This is the first time the club has won the over 40 s in this event, a great achievement and it shows at vet level our club can mix it with the very best.

Thanks to Nigel for organising the team at short notice.

Zip, Nigel, Loz and Lenny? Who needs a vet category? That team would have won if it was an open race! Bring on the Northern 12 stage!!!
