A good day out, well done to all, some great runs, well done Becca Marshall who had a stormer and who took some impressive scalps, Pete Braham who is marvellous for his age and was not incontinent once on the way round, Simon F who despite his wifes urging did not put suncream on his privates (you needed to be there) and Fraser who finished on the same day the race was held – just. Commiserations to those who did not finish, dry and warm did not make for better running.

Thank you to all the KCAC supporter’s out in force, can’t remember everyone who was there but special thanks to Russ, Mr and Mrs Victoria, Ian and family, Paul Morris and Pete Mc for drinks offers of food and general encouragement. Thanks also to Chris and John P.

Many thanks for all the support both vocal, food and water.
It was a little tight at the Hill Inn and I still couldn’t get over Ingleborough any faster.

It doesn’t get any easier but the support was as good as ever. Thanks to everyone. Only put half a kilo on after this year’s race!! Never could resist sweets off strangers. P.S Special thanks to Pete Mac for pushing me over the wall.

I’d never been on all fours with so many sweaty, panting bodies before, and going up Whernside wasn’t all that different!! A big ‘Thank You’ to all especially our KACers for providing so much support. Thanks Becca for dislodging the rock that nearly took my leg off near the top of Whernside, I shall send you the hospital bill later!! Well done everyone, it was lovely to see you all. I felt really sorry for you Frazer and hope you are feeling better. I really think you should give up clubbing on a Friday night!!

Suggestions that I only just finished before the two Bingley boys had done their third lap are only a slight exaggeration! What a painful experience! Thanks to all for your support especially Russ and Pete Mac without whom I’d still be on Ingleborough….

Thank you for your kind comments Mr Bean and congratulatons on a stonking run. The rock was meant to be a header Nut Cutlet. Trust you to try and kick the bugger. I’m sorry Frazer, I can’t stand the guilt any longer. Yes it WAS me that laced your bum bag with rocks and tied your shoe laces together. Yes it WAS me that asked God for sweltering temperatures so that little white Scotts with lots of freckles would suffer and parch in the arid conditions. Yes it WAS me that ran over the top of you at the foot of Ingleborough saying ” You must be injured Frazer !?”, not out of sympathy, or concern, but out of shear delight that for once I was going to beat you. Hope your feeling better now you lazy arse.

Thanks to every one for the support especially ” The Groin” and Victotia for the encouragement, water and sweeties and especially to Greased Weasel who kept me going with her appalling jokes and random drivel. I will not forget.

  18. Greased Weasel says:

    They were my best jokes!
Well done Becca – You were the Greased Weasel on the PPP’s.
Mr Bean rules! Excellent run Paul.
Watching runners struggling to Ingleborough summit was tough. Can’t imagine what it was like racing it with cramp, stiches, sunstroke. Might pluck up the courage to try it myself one day.

I am sure a few us would be willing to come round, give you a general kicking , a few good punches to your kidneys and then run a hot steam iron over your head, neck and assorted limbs before forcing you to run up and down oakworth rd if you want to be able to imagine the experience.

Now I know who to blame, I knew it couldn’t be my fault!

    25th April 2010 at 8:45 am

  21. becca marshall says:

You sound like a really nice bloke Paul. I will have to get to know you better. Imagine the damage we could do together. And what with Greased Weasel’s jokes…..My God the damage could be immense!

Well done everyone – it was traditional Three Peaks weather, making for the usual tough conditions.
Great ot see everyone enjoying themselves.

Especially well done Becca, overtaking all the mortally wounded on Ingleborough!
(I couldn’t have taught you better myself)

    Cheers

Thanks Paul for the elite athlete training programme offer. And I thought coach Russ was tough! But before you put a team together (you sound as if you’ve already got some volunteers – who have I upset?) I’ve decided to stick to being tortured on a Tuesday by Charlie for now.

    25th April 2010 at 11:06 am

  24. pauls says:

So thats where you go after tuesday training – to Charlies, does he have a dungeon?

Has he got Becca’s manual “how to get people to pay you for hurting them in a 1000 ways without leaving marks?”

    25th April 2010 at 1:15 pm

  25. pauls says:

you do know me very well Becca you have had your hands all over me several times., how quick you forget.

I certainly think we can think of unique ways to offend and wound, have you thought of going on the FRA forum, I do some of my best work on there.

  26. becca marshall says:
