I think the times for the U8s might need some tweeking- I’m pretty sure that Ned Cheetham was right on Vincent’s tail – 1 second behind, not 1 minute + 1 second.

Whoops, amended
Will try and do better next time

That’s as it was. Otherwise there would’ve been no need for Nick & I to stand there bellowing ‘Run, run’. (not that we’re competive parents, obviously…)

Well done to all some very close times there with Cleggy, me, Chris T , Mick B and Fraser all being close to each other. Dick would have been around this time if he had followed the tape closely like the rest of us (well a second behind me)- makes a change from drafting I suppose though : )
At least he didn’t inflict physical violence to stay ahead unlike Brett and Pete who callously rammed poor old JP off the road on saturdays cycle, Brett had to be physically restrained by Christine W (well he’s not that strong) to stop him trying to put the cycle shoe in afterwards. Though any rumours that as a result of the spectacular leaving of his bike over the handlebars JP has been asked to try out for the 2012 olympic gymnastics squad are sadly untrue.

brett says:
Yup, we left poor old JP looking very much like a cycle stand.
Don’t mess with the red bus!!

paul says:
Yes the lesson is don’t cycle responsibly and follow the rules of the road like JP did when cycling near P & B, get your retaliation in first.

JP says:
Less of the “old”!!!!!!
Dirty tactics by red bus drivers not allowing fellow cyclists to pass.
I think I stand a chance in the paraolympics thou for a not so graceful dismount, hopefully they’ll provide a softer landing mat than the ditch on the edge of Gisburn forest where I took an unscheduled time out.
War wounds and bike ok thou, ready for a good ride out in the lakes this weekend.
