Thanks to all for their shouts of encouragement especially to Lady Katie and Joe for the gel on Whernside and to Russ for the chocolate on PyG.
Challenging conditions to say the least. I’ve never been blown backwards of a stile before and I don’t want to repeat it. Sorry to the bloke behind who got a faceful of bike!
Congratulations to all 3 of you. Excellent times in the conditions. In fact I reckon that as a percentage of previous times you lost less time than Rob Jebb or Nick Craig. And a lot less time than Ian Taylor outright.
Better men than me. I don’t think I could have survived those conditions even had I been fit to attempt to do so. Just spectating was hard enough.

My conclusion from the PPP XC supporting is that Lady Katie will NEVER be taking part. Totally mad!!
Well done all!

Ian ripped his rear mech off at the bottom of Whernside, stripped it all down to a singlespeed and was still 10th!
