Dickie, Karen and myself did Clumber Park duathlon on saturday. Was flipping wet, a tad undulating, hands were very cold, bikes were very expensive and James Cracknell is very big!! Plus there was really bad drafting on the first lap of the bike leg.

Karen did the sprint 5km run, 20km bike and 2.5k run.
24m51s 5km, 1m20s T1, 40m54s 20km bike, 1m10s T2, 12m10s 2.5km run total time 1h20m28s came 90th

10km run 36m18s, T1, 1m08s, 40km bike 1hr13m38s, T2 1m30s, 5km run 20m53s. Total time 2h13m16s came 204th. Pretty impressive set of results!!!

Me (not so good, was quite happy with 10km time and was about 5th from back in my age-group!!!)
10km run 49m20s, T1, 1m35s, 40km bike 1hr29m10s, T2 1m55s, 5km run 27m02s. Total time 2hr49m05s, came 468th.

at the Wuthering Hike on Saturday 13th March to raise funds for the junior section and we then want to carry it over to the Keighley Big 10k the next day. The money we raise goes on prizes and trophies for the presentation night and much needed equipment for the younger juniors .

I am appealing for all parents, children and members of the club to really make an extra effort this year and bake a bit extra. I am always overwhelmed by the support we get from parents and members, I know you won’t let us down.

If you could bring your cakes/buns to training night on 11th March or on the day at either the Wuthering Hike or at the Big 10k.

If you remember last year the juniors went for a run before the first runners came in at the Wuthering Hike,then the juniors ran the cake stall. I want to do the same again. We will meet at the Haworth Primary School at 10.30am. If we get enough interest we will have 2 groups older juniors and younger juniors and we will go onto Haworth Moor. Juniors will need a change of clothes in case its wet. We will need a few adult helpers as well for the run. Please let me know if you can help. (don’t forget we will be running LOZ miles)

We will need volunteers to run the cake stall on Sunday morning at Keighley Big 10k so again please let me know if you can help.
