Keighley & Craven AC prides itself in providing the highest levels of coaching expertise for our Junior athletes.
As a club we invest in supporting our coaches to gain accredited coaching qualifications to further develop their coaching knowledge and capability.
This in turns underpins the development of all our Junior athletes.
We encourage Parents, Athletes and Ex-Athletes to get involved and join our coaching team. There is a pathway for people who are committed to helping our Juniors as we will pay for you to attend any necessary training courses that we agree are required. These can be incredibly fulfilling and in recent years these courses have included Coaching in Running, Coaching Assistant, Field Event Qualifications, First Aid Courses and a few more. Anybody who takes a formal coaching qualification will also have an enhanced DBS check paid for as part of the process.
There is no requirement for you to do your coaching qualifications and if you are a parent or grandparent of one of our Juniors then please discuss with us as we would love you to help out as this always enhances the sessions for our Juniors. Over the years, many parents have enjoyed it so much that they have moved on to get formal qualifications which our club has paid for.
