Well done to everyone who competed at Knowsley Safari Park on Sat 28 January. It was a pretty muddy affair!
The KCAC Juniors, never afraid to take on a challenge, turned out in force (although I know some of you sensibly stayed at home after bouts of ill health) and again produced some fine results.
Some great running and results from our under 13 girls with a fantastic 4th place for Lilli, whilst the team were a super 9th place with Beth (57th), Niamh (76th) and Scarlett (123) making up the four counters.
Not to be outdone the u13 boys, most of whom are young in the age category, came a fantastic 5th place in the team competition with Will A leading the way in 25th place, closely followed by the Sam combo of Headley and Conroy in 32nd and 36th. Jake T made the 4th counter with a great run in 115th place.
The under 15 boys had a strong team out and were led home by Harvey (12th), Louis (43rd), Charlie Spencer (46th) and Arthur (66th). Sadly they just missed out on a team bronze by a few points but as the majority of the boys are young in category, they are hoping for better things next year.
Eve and Katie ran in the under 15 girls where the competition was very tough. Strong runs by both girls saw them in 70th and 76th places respectively. Laura and Tegan took on the under 17 women race and both placed well at 71st and 77th
The under 17 mens team was unusually lacking in numbers due to illness and injury but Joe (13th) and Jimmy (12th) both had tremendous races, coming in just outside the prestigious top 10. Eleanor. in the under 20 ladies race, came in at the 43rd spot.
Thanks to everyone who came along to support the team in some of the worst conditions. I understand the Conroy’s are looking for volunteers to spend a weekend cleaning the mud off the tent!
The finals results can be found on the link below.
As this was a counter for the Oldies Club Champs, table has been updated below
Great results, well done
