It’s nearly a year since Keighley & Craven runners past and present gathered to walk or run the one lap 5km route or the two lap 10km event at Swinsty reservoir near Blubberhouses. We were there to celebrate the life of our friend Alistair Gavins (fondly know as Ali G). Ali was a passionate supporter of the Wateraid charity for many years and would have been moved to see us all lined up at the start.
The route follows gravel tracks and minor roads around the reservoir and is virtually traffic free.
