The England Athletics Regional and National Community Awards provide a unique opportunity to recognise the outstanding contributions made by these people who give their time, energy and expertise to our sport.
One of the categories is Run England Group of the Year – tell us who makes the difference in your community.
England Athletics Chief Executive Chris Jones said, “Athletics in all its forms is built on the efforts of those people who do such a magnificent job in communities across England. Every time I visit a club or Run Group I meet a wide range of people with their own unique stories of what has inspired them to work so tirelessly in ways that bring benefits to so many people.
“Our awards nights at both regional and national level are an important opportunity to recognise some of the outstanding people we are so fortunate to have in our sport. But they are also important as they highlight the many other contributions of all those other people without whom athletics would not exist.
“I would encourage clubs, running groups, individuals and organisations to take a few moments to consider who they should nominate.”
The awards are supported by Sweatshop, Track & Field Tours and the AAAs. The Awards programme includes nine English Regional Awards. Regions followed by the National Awards with the winner chosen from regional award winners across all categories.
You can nominate someone for an Award until Sunday 31 July 2016.
