Gathering Winter Fools

Many thanks to all the 36 Teams who took part in good humour to make this a successful event.
Some great runs from Barlick, Wharfedale and Bingley and by all others – some who clearly don’t let a “works do” hangover stop them getting out !!

Also big thanks to KCAC club members who helped organise in cold conditions:
– Camille; Gary; Charlie; Pete Mac; Ian ; Tonk (for not eating all the pies); Keith (for standing waiting for Tonk) ; Sam; Stevie C; James; Russ; JP; Sam & Archie and Juniors for the cake selling and Victoria (well it looked a bit like her ….)
Apologies if I have missed anyone. Big thanks to Jack and all at UAK who
served tea/coffee and pie n’ peas.

Few things to iron out on the route but hopefully all enjoyed it and we aim to carry on with John Dennis’ daft idea next year.
Results here – split times to follow.

K&CAC hosted West Yorkshire XC

West Yorkshire XC – Race 3 – Cliffe Castle – Saturday 22nd November 2014

A huge thank you to all of you who helped to make this event such a memorable occasion and to think 3 weeks ago this nearly didn’t go ahead as we didn’t have a venue or a race route.

However, since then many people have pulled together to make this happen, in a fantastic team effort that epitomises the spirit of K&CAC.

The marshalling and organisation on the day was wonderfully enthusiastic and professional whilst the feedback we received was very positive with everyone having truly enjoyed the event.

The West Yorkshire XC officials were also very pleased with how the day went and this puts us in with a great chance of hosting this prestigious event again next year and further putting K&CAC on the athletics map.

To top it off there were some amazing racing performances out there with all the K&CAC Juniors excelling yet again including 1st Team for U11B, U11G, U13G (full details on the Juniors website) coupled with some excellent senior performances also.

Well done to everyone who got involved yesterday, your efforts were very much appreciated and you have contributed to further enhancing the growing reputation of our rapidly progressing club.
